The new Construction Act, which began to apply on 1 June 2018, was replaced by the previous Building Construction Act and brought a number of novelties and simplifications in the field of construction.

The new building law has a key impact on every building owner. After the completion of the construction for which a building permit is required, it is necessary to obtain a valid permit allowing the use of the facility.

Use permission is a prerequisite for assigning an address number and is necessary for every building, the exception is valid for non-compliant objects. However, an administrative permit for a new building can not be issued by an administrative unit for an unfinished building, which in practice means that address numbers can not be obtained without a facade or a fence on balconies.
